The Second Lid & Keratoplastic SUMMIT Tirol 2025

September 22 - 24, 2025

Medical University of Innsbruck

The second edition expanded beyond oculoplastic techniques to include reconstructive and corneal surgery. In addition to eyelid malposition correction, canthoplasty, and local flap reconstruction, participants trained advanced keratoplasty methods such as PK and DALK. Interactive simulations, wound-closure training, and peer exchange made the event a comprehensive platform for surgical innovation and collaboration.

LidSUMMIT Tirol 2025

March 27–29, 2025

Medical University of Innsbruck

The inaugural LidSUMMIT Tirol was held at the Medical University of Innsbruck and focused on mastering functional and aesthetic eyelid surgery. Over three intensive days, participants trained on anatomical specimens and 3D-printed eyelid models, gaining practical experience in blepharoplasty, ptosis correction, and reconstructive procedures through lectures, live demos, and hands-on sessions.

to know

LidSUMMIT is designed for ophthalmologists, oculoplastic surgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, fellows, and advanced residents with a focus on eyelid, periocular, and corneal surgical training. Participants are selected to ensure a high-quality learning environment — the course is limited to a maximum of 30 surgeons per edition.
The course fee covers full access to all hands-on surgical stations, training materials (cadaveric specimens and 3D-printed models), faculty lectures and demonstrations, course documentation, and the EACCME CME certificate. Accommodation and travel are not included and must be arranged independently.
Full Access (€3,590) covers all three days — Day 1 Corneal Sutures & Traumatic Wound Closure, Day 2 Blepharoplasty & Ptosis Correction, and Day 3 Entropion, Ectropion, Reconstruction & Local Flaps.

Eyelid Focus (€2,790) covers Days 2 and 3 only, with a focus on oculoplastic surgery, blepharoplasty, ptosis, malposition repair, and eyelid reconstruction — ideal for surgeons whose primary interest is eyelid surgery rather than corneal techniques.
LidSUMMIT Tirol 2026 has been submitted for EACCME accreditation with a planned maximum of 24.0 ECMEC (8.0 per day). Final credit allocation is subject to EACCME/UEMS review. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the educational hours completed.
The course is conducted entirely in English. All lectures, demonstrations, faculty feedback sessions, and course materials are in English, making LidSUMMIT accessible to international participants.
LidSUMMIT is deliberately kept small — maximum 30 participants per edition. This ensures direct access to faculty at every station, personalised feedback, and a productive peer learning environment. Previous editions sold out. Early registration is strongly recommended.
The course takes place at the Institute of Clinical and Functional Anatomy, Medical University of Innsbruck, Müllerstrasse 59, A-6020 Innsbruck, Austria. The institute is part of the Innsbruck University Hospital campus, ranked among the world's top 60 hospitals. Innsbruck is easily reachable by direct flights from most European cities and by rail.
Accommodation is not included in the course fee and must be arranged independently. Innsbruck offers a wide range of hotels at different price points, several within walking distance of the venue. Registered participants will receive accommodation recommendations in the Participant Hub.
Registration is open and available online. Select your preferred ticket — Full Access or Eyelid Focus — and complete the checkout. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. After registration you will receive a confirmation email and access to the Participant Hub with all course details, logistics, and preparation materials.
